Ronaldo: Real are favourites

CRISTIANO RONALDO thinks Real Madrid are the favourites for this season's Champions League.
The Spanish giants have splashed the cash in recent years with £80million going on Ronaldo alone.
But they have been knocked out at the last-16 stage for the previous SIX campaigns.
However, Ronaldo is confident they can deliver success now that Jose Mourinho is in charge.
He said: "We must have the ambition to win. We want to reach the final at Wembley. I consider us the favorites."
Last term, Real were knocked out by French side Lyon and they meet again in the last-16 tomorrow night.
Ronaldo added: "This year we will win against Lyon, God willing.
"Last year we were very close but this time it will be totally different. The coach is very experienced and knows how to win.
"We will go out there knowing that Lyon are a very difficult team in the Champions League.
"We have to think that they are Barcelona or Milan, because they are a tough opponent and physical."
Mourinho won the Champions League with Inter Milan at the Bernabeu last season.
And Ronaldo has been impressed with his new boss' approach to the game.
He said: "Mourinho has the power, the morale, the titles and know what he says.
"A lot of people don't like him, but he's not a hypocrite and he says what he thinks.
"I was delighted by his arrival and hope we can achieve many successes together."
