Xavi: Cesc Fabregas Will Join Barcelona In January Because Arsenal Are Not Strong Enough To Win Anything

Barcelona midfielder Xavi has not given up on seeing Spain team-mate Cesc Fabregas move to the Camp Nou from Arsenal, despite indications that the saga surrounding his possible move is over.
Xavi maintains that Fabregas could still become a Barca player this season, with a move perhaps occurring in January's transfer window.
The Catalan star expects that Arsenal will be out of the running for the major honours by then and the Gunenrs skipper will be tempted away from the Emirates.
"We've given up on the idea of him arriving now, but maybe he'll come in January when Arsenal are out of the Premier League title race," he said, according to Tuttomercato.
"Their team are just not competitive."
Arsenal reportedly rejected a £40 million bid for Fabregas over the weekend, with the player seeming to accept that he will be staying at Arsenal for the foreseeable future.
Xavi seems to believe that Fabregas is not that happy at being compelled to remain a Gunner though.
"Arsenal are wrong to have forced him to remain there, they can't just hold him against his will," the Barca star added.
