Quartet absent for Peterhead

Posted Saturday, March 20, 2010 by PA

Peterhead boss Neale Cooper will be without Callum MacDonald, Nicky Clark and David Ross for the home clash against Arbroath.

Winger Graeme Sharp is also unavailable as he is working in Brazil, although Cooper is hoping that Paul Emslie and Barry Wilson will overcome injury in time to be included.

Cooper rates Bobby Mann and Davie Donald's chances of being involved as above average, while Daniel Moore has been signed on loan from Ross County as cover.

The Balmoor boss said: "We may have a few selection challenges and it has been a difficult time recently but it is time for us to get a win and start heading up the table."

Arbroath manager Jim Weir has doubts over the availability of six players for the clash.

Alan Rattray, Ewan Moyes, Phil McGuire, Jamie Redman, Robbie Ross and Steve Hislop are also struggling for fitness.

Weir has urged his players to get Tuesday night's 3-1 defeat at East Fife out of their system as soon as possible and he said: "I was disappointed with our performance on Tuesday and that was the first time I have had to say that in a wee while.

"We need to get going again at Peterhead and three points from this game will really tighten things up."
